Stephen Crook Sr.
Steve Crook, Sr. received his degree in marketing from the University of Illinois in 1967. He spent 20 very successful years at IBM as a salesman, sales and marketing trainer, sales and marketing consultant and sales manager. Steve also served for six years as Vice President of Marketing for XL/Datacomp.
While at IBM, Steve gained invaluable experience in implementing lead generation and database strategies that produced highly qualified sales leads. He used this experience to implement innovative and very successful lead generation techniques at XL/Datacomp. These lead generation techniques helped XL/Datacomp increase sales revenues from $80 million to over $400 million in less than 6 years. His new business lead generation experience at IBM and XL/Datacomp have been used to develop the powerful lead generation infrastructure called the Prospect Intelligence Center™ (PIC).
For the past 14 years Steve has been CEO/President of Crook & Associates, a new business lead generation company.
Steve is a frequent lecturer at Northern Illinois University's Department of Marketing and a member of NIU’s Sales Advisory Board.

Steve Crook, Jr. received his degree in marketing from the University of Illinois in 1991. Steve has spent over 17 years as a new account sales person, mainly in the technology and services sectors. For many years, before joining Crook & Associates, Steve was an account manager for a technology firm and sold a turn-key solution that automated his clients’ manufacturing and distribution processes. This was a technical, long-term sell with and a large capital expenditure. Steve was a very successful “hunter” and helped create a new business sales process that was used company wide.
Steve joined Crook & Associates in 2005 and used his new business sales experience to fine-tune the powerful lead generation process called the Prospect Intelligence Center™ (PIC). Steve is involved in selling the services of Crook & Associates as well as implementing new clients. Steve uses his technical expertise, database knowledge and new business sales experience to help develop highly customized plans to increase his clients’ new business sales
